The best, scariest, and most memorable scenes from the greatest horror film of all time: The Exorcist. The incredibly realistic story about a little girl possessed by the devil, that shocked millions.
screamer at the end.
you were warned.
The reason for the screamer is that it's a reference/dedication to the scary maze game, in which Regan's demon face is shown along with a loud scream.
† The vomit shot at the priest in Scene 4 was actually suppose to be aimed at his chest, however it misfired and shot onto his face instead. The look of disgust you saw was real, and the actor became very angry afterwards.
† During the Crucifix Scene, Linda Blair (the actress playing the possessed girl) was actually stabbing into a box containing a sponge soaked in red food coloring.
† The actress who played the mother suffered a permanant back injury when Reagan/Linda slapped her to the ground.
† It wasn't the Demon saying, "You know what she did? Your cunting daughter?" It was actually the voice of a character named Burke Dennings, a friend of the mother who was murdered by Demon/Reagan. The Demon used his voice in a way of saying "Yeah I killed your friend." It was also mentioned earlier in the film that an injury associated with Burke's death was his head snapped halfway around his body.
† The first horror film to be nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture
† In religious terms, a sow means "worthless female", explaining what the demon meant at 1:05
† The object at 2:37 appears to be full of liquid, however when it shattered into the ground no liquid came out.
† The cord that yanks the mother to the ground at 4:12 can be seen for a split second lifting the bottom of the white curtain where her head lands.
† At Scene 2, the mother has a delayed reaction to the loud clash upstairs.
