  • . In recent times, the latter has been evident as a consequence not of natural processes but of man-made pollution, through emissions of greenhouse gases. By altering the global energy balance, such mechanisms "force" the climate to change. Consequently, scientists call them "climate forcing" mechanisms.

  • Oneoffman....blah blah...

If it were true that our forcing c02 into the air is causing instability wouldn't that mean that the one degree increase in temperature that the earth underwent in the last 100 years would have been accellerated after the 1950's when there was an industrial boom? Instead the graphs show that it was a steady increase over the decade.

  • Century not "decade"...

  • 1. I meant forcing in terms of climate science, not "forcing CO2"

    2. Back up your claim that CO2 rises

    3. There is not a steady rise over the century. Please reference the original graphs by Mann et al. not the cooked graphs by Durkin and Co.

  • The Earth's climate changes when the amount of energy stored by the climate system is varied. The most significant changes occur when the global energy balance between incoming energy from the Sun and outgoing heat from the Earth is upset. There are a number of natural mechanisms that can upset this balance, for example fluctuations in the Earth's orbit, variations in ocean circulation and changes in the composition of the Earth's atmosphere.

  • CO2 emission sources: Oceans-------59.5% Decaying vegitaion----17.9% Plant and animal respiration--17.9% Human made----4.7% (factories, cars, fireplaces, breathing, etc.) The human input of CO2 into the earth is insignificant compared to natural sources, i.e. 4.7% to 95.3%. Quit worrying about global warming and get some sleep.
  • This is about forcing above and beyond the natural carbon cycle.

  • @cienade fuck you hes such a nice guy

  • @NwLdNuK hahaha same, only reason im watching this video. my economics lessons are so funny

  • Derek Wall, you are an idiot.

  • Chris Horner is a smart, articulate man. If you come up against him in a debate you'd better know your stuff.

The greenie guy I thought was rude and unconvincing. There's so much on the pro-GW side now that isn't adding up. Everyone loves the planet but the truth is also important, as well as a healthy economy.

  • Oddly in all the confusion... nobody...has ever bothered to point out a solution... I mean the moey is flying around goodo! the time is 'supposed' to be running out... this debate has been going on 25 years... and not a single person has ever mentioned a 'solution' to this problem... that alone has me wondering why taxes are being lashed onto everything from fuel to waste disposal?

I know for a fact the local rubbish dump has fuck all to do with global warming...so why the increase in charges?

  • Wall needs to lay off the dope.... If he smokes any more he'll be personally responsible for another hole in the ozone layer!

  • "A lot of the deniers get funding directly or indirectly from the oil industry."

Lol... you need to take a look at the chairman of the IPCC... After all he is also chairman of TaTa and Teri which is basically Indias Coal industry... and he's building the worlds largest coal fired power station!

  • I see the deniers end up using ad hominem attacks. The vast majority of scientists still think climate change at present is mostly man made.

A lot of the deniers get funding directly or indirectly from the oil industry.

    mostly dumb ameriKKKans

  • derek wall is a freakin moron
