I had a very very hard time getting up the courage the first time! I had to try and convince myself for like 3 hours to try it, and I didnt hurt myself. But I was on an old mattress in my backyard. So I would suggest a mattress or trampoline. You're not alone, everyone has trouble with that aspect, everyone! Good luck.

Here's my problem maybe u can help I can do a pretty great backflip on the ground with no shoes on but I put them on and then I can't land is t just my inexperience with the move or what do u think? Thanks!

when you back flip your kindof flipping before you tuck this is the part that bums me out because i can do the tuck fine its the flip

@NlkOlVy Another piece of advice.. Once you learn the backflip on the trampoline, I would also suggest going to a gymnasium near you, and ask for one of the gymnast guys to be a spotter, or help you out in learning how to do a backflip. They should know what to do. >_>

lol i got a question i can backflip and land aslong as its of something and its all ways perfect but i try so hard on the ground and i land on my knees or tip toes which makes me fall foward and can someone tell me how to improve cause im soo confused aye

@NlkOlVy It's easier to do a backflip on a trampoline first before you do it on the ground. This is because you get more of a jump out of it. With a backflip done on a trampoline, you don't have as much a reason to get hurt because, well.. you'll be landing on something that isn't exactly hard. What you really need to learn is that while it might be scary, people get hurt doing it because they think they will. You think you get hurt, and you will. Make yourself think you'll do it, and you will.

@TecNoLBP i was terrified my first backflip too, i first learned on a trampoline then i did it into a little sand pit. I was so surprised i landed it my first try
