  • Like that theme music! I never knew that Classical Gas was widely used as a news theme.

Check out the top story. New garage sale ordinances from city council? Slow news day in Columbia, I guess...

  • Actually, that wasn't the top story. The reason that newscast survives (and is in very good shape!) is that was the first newscast to use the brand new "Instanews 10" live truck, which was revolutionary at the time. I'll have to upload that sometime soon.

  • Dave Rodgers had the deepest voice in Columbia (or so it seems). As a kid I thought of Lurch from the "Adams family" whenever he spoke.

  • what package was this? I always enjoyed this music

  • @zekepig And we have stereotyping at its finest from you! Thanks hypocrites of the rest of the US! You see a flag and automatically think something instead of actually using your brain. Stupidity at its finest.

  • @lonestarrooster It's the sounth. Give us a break.

  • I think i got all of the county names in the vid:

Chesterfield, Clarendon, Darlington, Bamberg, Barnwell, Fairfield, Florence, Greenwood, Lancaster, Lexington, Marlboro, Marion, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland and Williamsburg.

I did not see Lee, Kershaw, Sumter and Saluda counties. They are part of the modern day Columbia DMA.

  • This WIS-TV 10 Video is Cool!

  • ThNotice how proudly they showed the Confederate flag on the capitol dome?

    Aah, the good ol days!

  • Looks like the "Anchorman" guys stole Ed's suit for Ron Burgundy.

  • Classical Gas mixed in with the drum intro of the Telesound version, pretty good combo.

  • I miss Columbia.
