The London Biennale celebrations which took place last Saturday,
the 21st of August 2010, on the lawn of Tate Modern
featured an illuminating talk by Guy Brett about William Blake's poems ' London' and 'the Fly',
a recitation of one of his own 'Rarely Remembered Poems' by Richard Nyman,
a recitation of Japanese haiku poems followed by a gift-giving (stars and miniature 'animal silhouettes')
intimate performance by Gerald Gallavardin,
a recitation by David Medalla of William Wordsworth poem about Westminster Bridge
which Medalla also recited earlier that afternoon on the boat from Tate Britain to Tate Modern,
and a very moving performance by Mexican artist Rico Esquivel related to his 'Siamese Aztec' art works
and Man's relation between Earth and Sky
on the Millenium Bridge above the river Thames
