I just bought this 1997 Fender Twin Amp and figured i would show the differences between the Fender Amp an my Marshall MA 100C 212 combo amp.
Both amps are running on equal EQ settings. Also both amps have more room to distort in the drive chanels. Both amps are set on around 3 for volume. Both amps are 100watt fully tubed amps. The Marshall is brand new as of 2011. I'm using a standard mexican Strat.

  • Which do you favor more? I bet that's tuff one!

  • @LesterPaul01 I prefer Fender over Marshall because I like Fenders tone and distinct reverb. The Marshall is a very nice amp and is very loud! However the tone it puts out is more for AC/DC style rock, although it can make a decient blues amp, i just prefer the Fender. Now i acyually have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe I use all the time. I love it.

  • isn't the twin 85 watts?

  • @LesterPaul01 No this is the 100watt combo twin amp. however it does have a switch that puts it to 25watt

  • If you don't hear reverb on the Twin Amp, you wanna check the reverb assignment swith on the rear panel. If that doesn't work, maybe the reverb valves are to be replaced. I normally use reverb set on 3-4.

  • @peterdrijfhout Yes I tried that and then figured out it was the actual reverb tank in the bottom of the amp. Thanks for the advice and I know use a Hot Rod Deluxe....
