Entertainers and Activists Promote ANCA Endowment Fund Telethon

Armenian American community activists and entertainers reached out to the TV viewing audience today in a series of short public service spots (Armenian and English language) encouraging nationwide support for the ANCA Endowmwnt Fund Telethon, to be broadcast on May 31st from 3:00pm to 9:00pm PDT and 6:00pm to 12midnight EDT.

Singers Nersik Ispirian and Gor Mkhitarian were joined by comedian Ara Basil and community leader Jasik Jarahian in taping the spots that will air nationwide.


The 2009 Telethon will help the ANCA Endowment Fund further strengthen itself as an invaluable Armenian American civic institution - building on its proven track record by developing a powerful financial foundation for the future. The ANCA Endowment supports Armenian American grassroots civic participation by ensuring that our community has the tools to effectively educate the American public and governments on the federal, state and local levels about the challenges and opportunities facing Armenia, Nagorno Karabagh, and the Diaspora.
