This Technology Tip Tuesday shows viewers how to create a Google Alert.

Creating a Google Alert is a fun and easy way to stay in the know about a topic, celebrity or activity that interests you! Or just be informed when your name is mentioned online!


To set up an alert, visit http://www.google.com/alerts


Enter the alert topic that you wish to receive in your email inbox.

Select the type alert you wish to receive: everything, news, blogs, video or discussion.

Select the frequency that you want to receive the alert: daily, as-they-happen, once per week.
Select the volume of alerts you wish to receive: only the best results or all results
Select your email address where you wish to receive the alerts.
Voila!

You can always go back and manage the alerts to make changes or cancel the alert all together.
