Just a look into the basics (easy to understand version) of alkene reaction mechanisms (organic reactivity), extended from the first video which had a bit on alkene reactions. This has more about the major and minor products including Markovnikov's rule.

This video is the second of the basics videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OK6KFsjMM00 is the first.

Feedback/criticisms/requires/suggestions are all welcome for possible further videos.

Thanks

Rayne

  • thank you very much Rayne!

  • @lovingmusic93 please tell me your in gregelly's chemistry class ahhahaha

  • can u make one for an alene plus HF?plz by sunday!

  • great very helpful. thank you. yeah please make more..:)

  • because of you i can now distinguish between major and minor.. thank you so much... keep it up

  • ur handwriting is the only thing that annoys me when i watch the video. I have really bad handwriting myself.

  • I enjoyed your videos very much...I learned a lot from the two parts and I thank you for taking the time to teach us....

I like the fact that you are drawing out the structures as you go because this makes you go through your tutorials at a good pace…not too fast and not to slow, this is just right… and plus we understand in detail what is going on…the only improvement would be to specify if your lines are CH3 or just an H…

Please continue. I would appreciate it!

  • more videos please. Just try to write neater and faster :)

But the explanation is very clear :)

  • This video is extremely helpful -- much clearer than my organic chem professor!! More videos would be tremendously helpful, in particular: addition of Cl2 or Br2 in CH2Cl2 Addition of Cl or Br in water addition of H2O by hydroboration/oxidation catalytic hydrogenation radical polymerization addition of H2O to alkynes reductio of alkynes (adding H2) acidity of terminal alkynes/conversion to acetylide ions alkylation of acetylide anions i know it's a lot, but even a few would be great!
