it does not damage the brush handle at all!! I got my brush filling at Micheals in clear tiny pebbles, the same kind they use in Sephora :) I have been using it for months and thereis not one scratch on my brushes!

Great tip, instead of buying jars, recycle your candle jars, by using a old nail filer to scrape out the wax, if there is any wax left over use warm/hot water and alcohol wipes to fully clean the jars. Save money and your recycling at the same time :)) oh and dont forget to peel off the label of the candle :))

Just saw this video looking for something else. Good idea but it's nothing new. I'm an artist and I was taught to keep my brushes this way. Keeps them from touching after you clean them and they are drying and the also keep the shape. Coffee beans work great to hide the smell of oil paints.

@371z683t4 I try to replace it every couple of months or something. I've never seen any bugs in it so far

@xLeeNuhh bugs can grow in rice though over time

omigosh soooo cute! i will definitely do this when my daughter is older and not likely to stick small things in her mouth to choke on :) right now im using a pencil case to hold my brushes.

Watching these video of all these beautiful women with 50,000 makeup products makes me feel defective in some way. I don't even have a 1/10 of the make up and brushes these ladies have =S
For my brushes I only have a pretty votive with crystal in it lol. Don't really use much
Hey Emily! I saw this video last week and thought it was a GREAT idea! I went to Walmart and got all the items for less than $10! Mine are more like hurricane glass containers and I used a white silk ribbon. The sand I used is the same though. It looks so pretty in my bathroom :)
