SSD4 is a great library for quick USABLE drum sounds. There is of course no limit to the tweaking that can be done but this should show how in no time at all you can get a good, hard hitting kit. Perfect for when you want to just get on with the creative side of things and don't want to spend all day tweaking and processing.

  • Hay bro. It sounds soo cool..My question is, can we use multiple kicks, snares etc. at the same time? Say, i'd like to blend 3 kicks..At SSD 3.5, we could do that easily. And if possible, is there a limit for this "layering" process? How many separate elements can we add ?

  • @baranismen Hey yeah you can, you can layer drums inside SSD4. Exactly how many I'm not sure but there's a tonne of empty slots.

  • Intro rules dude, i dig your shit man,

  • @jamoxesox Thanks :)

  • Yeah going to have to. Dunno if I like the cymbals yet anyway :/ what do you think about em. I didn't own 3.0 but I know they were notorious for being ass-tastic. So these are probably better. But side by side with superiors OH's and room what do you think. I'm debating getting S2.0 to go with this.

  • @TriviumCrusader17 I think the cymbals are a big improvement on all previous versions. Those really were ass-tastic as you put it, I'll throw in plastacular, horrible plastic sound. My problem with Superior is some of the cymbals have this really weird washy phasey thing going on. Not all of them but some are unusable. Superior still has the best room mics imo. These SSD cymbals are ok I think, no weirdness or fake quality, a bit distant sounding but sit in the mix easy as a result.

  • SSD vs Drumagog...which one is better?

  • Can't you move the midi sound files fron SSD to the midi sound folder in SD ? I did this with my toontrack midi files to put in my addictive drums folder and vice versa and it seemed to work out ok.Mabey they are a differant file kind in your case..thought I'd give ya a yell to see if it might work..I'd be interested to know before I bought it..

  • does SSD4 have piccolo snares?
