This song is called "Hatsukoi" . It means the first love. The words of this song is written by Takuboku Ishikawa who was a poet.
Takuboku Ishikawa was born in 1816 at Iwate prefecture where had big damage by Japan earthquake and Tsunami.
This song is well known in Japan.

I am an opera singer in America... we are doing a benefit concert to raise money for Japan, and I've been looking for sheet music to Japanese art songs.... do you know where I could get the music for this? However, I don't read kanji so it would have to have the phonetic spelling as well...
