  • I own a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. Having problems with the ignition lock key cylinder as sometimes it will not let me turn the key to start the car. With a slight tap on the key with a small rubber mallet the key cylinder works. I would like to replace it with a new one. Does the new key cylinder come with new keys or will I be able to use my 2 Dodge Factory keys in the new replacement ignition lock key cyclinder?

  • @ffas23 The new cylinder does come with new keys. Your original factory key would not work since you are changing the ignition.

  • @1aauto hey auto guy i have about the same problem but my the key wont even turn but the steering wheel is not locked so i know its not that i put the key in but it wont turn

  • @luis7750 Thank you for visiting our YouTube channel. EMail has been replied to.

  • I've a problem with my car, all mornings when its cold, and sometimes at nights my CAVALIER 98 turns on a light that says theft system, but it doesnt blink, stays static and my car turns off like after 2 seconds of turnning it on, ive to wait between 10 and 15 mintutes to turn it on, and it works, but all mornings ive to do the same, im tired, what do i have to do? do i have to change the ignition cyliinder or add a passkey bypass? please help!

  • @Lixxylicious If it's a factory alarm you may want to check the owners manual to see if the static light means anything. Sometimes the manual will tell you why it's doing this. hope this helps you out. Have a great day!

  • I have a 94 acura integra. Is this process similar? My ignition works fine but I think someone tried to steal it from the previous owner. The key works on all the doors and ignition but I can remove it from the car while it is on. I just need the cylinder and not the whole assembly and wiring?

  • how to recold the key on a neon

  • I lost my keys to my car and the mechanic i went to said it would run me 350 dollars and he said if i didnt want to pay that much then i can break the igniition at this point i have no choice anyone know what to do instead of going to a locksmith and going to the delaership i dont get when he says knock it out

  • How do you get it outw/o having to use a key
