U2 obviously ripping off A-ha's "Sun always shines on TV." Embarrassing.

  • You know, maybe I could hear the similarities if you played them separately instead of this cacophony. Thanks for making that awful picture though.

Both good bands though. U2 is better, but both are good.

  • @JoyousInsurrection NP fuckhead!

  • God damn. Never heard that a-ha song before, but just looked it up to confirm for myself (friggin top song too!): the similarities are undeniable - not just in the MUSIC, but also in the CHORUSES & the way they sing! Frigging identical!!! Just when I thought I couldn't respect bono any LESS... beautiful day was a weakass excuse for a song anyways, but now finding out they stole the bloody thing just makes it worse! Man u2 really are hasbeen pooftas. Suck my cock.

  • @dayargrosario

Aha is my pop band of all time and I agree entirely with you. "Take on Me" is great, but they go far beyond that song. Do not worry .... I know all the songs ... They are beautiful ... Sorry for my bad English. A hug!

  • @mirnareginaortiz in fact "take on me" was the first song a-ha made(i mean, to promote themselves worldwide) ..if you want good lyrics i tell you some songs from the early albums("scoundrel days","living a boy´s adventure tale","out of blue comes green","rolling thunder","sycamore leaves","locust" and since their return in 2000 "mother nature goes to heaven","barely hanging on","there´s a reason for it","white dwarf"..most of their songs are way above of "take on me".

  • u2 far away ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • @viperdude281 shit!..luckily a-ha has nothing to with u2 wich in fact I never liked...just this song wich some parts where stolen by bono from a-ha!

  • @viperdude281 who cares, you are talking about something that most people dont know and when you heard the "teach me" from bono if you know the sun always shines on tv you immediately think of it,but if you dont know the a-ha song you probably think that its something original the teach me part but is copy from them.and for someone who says that was a tribute to a-ha it was not beacuse when bono was asked about it he says arrogantly that a-ha has always been stolen for them, and that is full of

  • What are you talking about? The songs are in different keys, have different chord progressions, and use different instruments. Even U2s bridge (the "touch me" part) uses a different chord progression. Even if these two parts were translated into the same key Ahas progression would be (em, c, g, d) and U2s would be (em, f, c, g). Even though these might sound similar to the naked ear by some, they arent. In fact the only real similarity is the words "touch me". So no its not a rip off.

  • Seriously Loling at all the blind U2 haters right now.

  • no one is best to the other, the difference between aha and u2 is that the best aha songs are bsides and only people who buy their reccords know that, and the best u2 songs are always singles, aha had a very commercial beggining while u2 was always about music, but even in the most commercial reccords aha have hidden greate songs, and by the pace of time u2 became weaker while aha became better

  • i knew it all the time when this u2 version came out the first time!!!!!
