Minnesota - Stop 6 of 21 - Blaine, MN

Outskirts of Minneapolis, namely Blaine. Undoubtedly the most fascinating Stop on the journey.

While many of the other communities in Anoka County experienced growth due to farming, Blaine's sandy soils and abundant wetlands discouraged would-be farmers and it remained a prime hunting area. Blaine's growth remained slow until after World War II when starter home developments began to spring up in the southern part of town.

Blaine is a great town! Did you by any chance go to Anoka? Anoka is the halloween capital. Just a little info for you. BTW. Anoka county is an extremly sandy county for sure. Spent two years of my life in Anoka/ Coon Rapids.
