Yes, but keep it simple one command for one action is better. Patrol dogs are often taught in German or other languages so persons don't walk past you dog yelling out WATCH etc.
Yes but not explosives you keep the dog only on explosives and nothing else such as drugs etc. The only exception to the rule is if you are training a crime scene dog. You can have a dog on several odours
and trained to track and in protection if you have the right dog. Another one you don't train is a dog for cadaver and distresed body scent as in a building collapse you want the dog to find the live persons and not the dead.
what's in the bag on the stick? is drugs in the bag to it knows there's a game if you find that smell. this is so cool. if my dog wasn't timid i would love to teach her smart things like.. find my phone... where's the ball? maybe im just wishful thinking... : )
ey gary can u train a dog commands in english and the same commands in a different language...and will the dog understand them with no confusion?

Hi Gary. Is it possible/practical to train one dog to detect multiple sources such as marijuana, narcotics, explosives, search & rescue, etc.
