  • After watching your videos I borrowed my moms old Electrolux Assistent, which looks identical to yours. It is the best machine for yeast dough I have tried; well others I've used are only KitchenAid and Kenwood really. I have to save up for an Assistent Orginal, which it is sold as here.

  • @turtlefromthenorth I had to save up as well - but every time I use it, I do a little happy dance. I make large quantities of dough, and this is the best home machine I've found. It's not as fast as some of the spiral mixers, but for the price.... I'll take this machine.

  • I think you convinced me to not buy this machine as it seems to me the dough gets little exercise compared to other mixers out there. I detest KitchenAid and am now thinking to go with Bosch Universal.

  • @ChefGuy49 Did you buy the Bosch? I agree, the KA is not good with bread dough. I love it for cake and cookie batters, but it just does not have the muscle for bread dough.

  • I think the electrolux assistent is cool. I actually searched youtube to see the kneading-action.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • @skuld9964 No problem! Hope it helped you. i've since decided the dough hook arm is the best way to kneed bread dough.

  • I have the Assistent (for 20 years) and also 4 Bosch machines. This is a great mixer. I appreciate your making this video because I had to buy mine sight unseen all those years ago with no internet! It's never failed me; I prefer Bosch for some and DLX for some. Boy, have they gone up in price!!!

  • That's the internet in a nutshell.

I'm researching these machines; it's good to see one working, as it tells me a lot about the day-to-day usage.

    Gluten FTW :-)

  • HAHA 4700 people including me were interested!

  • It is very interesting to see the dough hook in action. I have owned an Electrolux Assistent for more than 10 years, but I have not yet used the dough hook that came with the machine. I have only been using the roller. I will try my dough hook soon. Thank you for posting!

  • you' re awesome !!! thank you for posting it... I wanted to see how it worked and without people like you posting this info I would be in the darK!
