@hailejames yes indeed..the slave trade was a horrible act upon humanity but all this has done is educate our people in many cultures. The problem comes when the knowledge we learn has not been shared with our people. If we where a united people with more ties to west africa I do think their will be a change in that part of Africa and to people of african decent around the world. Times are slowly changing and we dont know how much longer the United States is going to be here..we must have a plan

true, liberia was carved out by president James Monroe but the native people of liberia (bassa, kisi, kru) have always been there and so has their unique culture. what we call liberia today has always been known to the ancient world as the Grain Coast. don't take away from liberia because an American president thought to make his conscious clear by returning some enslaved africans. understand your history. africa is apart of all of us

I love the way you think. I have been working on a children's book series here that is suppose to get (african american) children more interested in reading and their beautiful history. the first book has been self published and working on book two by a different company for better marketing. Yes, africa has been--and still is--hurting from enslavement (1440-1830) and colonization (1889-1960) and we as descendants of those befallen people need to unite and plan for our children

Fantastic!! Lovely! :-)This music is so evokative of that wonderful continent, Africa. Nowhere on earth can compare. The savannahs, forests, mountains, lakes, seashores and animals of Tanzania & Kenya are too magnificent to even describe. Then there's the wonderful people!! I long for Africa every day, after 44 years of living elswhere. I grew up there, in the wonderful bush. We're going back in 2 weeks :-) !! There's original footage on my video.
