Drawing inspiration from Warhol's celebrity silk screens, the video was shot in stark black and white, with splashes of color added post production. The film melds fashion, film & downtown culture -- everything the Soho Grand and Tribeca Grand Hotels are passionate about. But the real star here is the locale.
The camera follows two visitors through the iconic neighborhoods the hotels call home, prominently featuring the local architecture and historic cobblestone streets. It is a love note from the hotels to SoHo and TriBeCa, rediscovering them through the eyes of two visitors -- a stylish muse and a cool auteur wielding an antique Bolex camera. The protagonists find their way to the Hotel's penthouse and to each other to the rhythmic beat of "Nonsense in the Dark" by the Filthy Dukes.
