Dont worry about the BSR connection, I was studying audio at college in mid 80's and BSR Hi-Fi record decks were used in our instruction. They were easily adjusted so as to outperform, by a long chalk, the recognised Hi-Fi standards for record disc reproduction. I have no idea whether or not these were easily available in the marketplace.

No wonder the industry is dying. They're getting what they deserve.

I can't believe WMG to the audio from a 30 year old record. Fuckers.

FUCK WMG!!!! i was singing the song in my head dude, nice turntable, great song. cheers
The fact that it's BSR doesn't necessarily condemn the turntable as they did manage to make good tables, including a quite a few under the ADC brand (especially when BSR bought them out at one point).
BSR ends up getting a bad rap because they made tons of cheap turntables in addition to their more serious efforts.
And, as you say in your video description: "it still sounds and operates great."
And, you know, that's all that really matters.
