Five years ago tonight, on March 19, 2003, the US launched the invasion of Iraq. Half a decade later, as the occupation continues with no end in sight, some of the most powerful voices against the war have been the men and women who have fought in it. For four days this past weekend, soldiers convened at the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Maryland for Winter Soldier, an eyewitness account of the war and occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan. we have been victimized since the end of the second world war by the united states, this is nothing new, murder, pillage, rape is the primary export of the western world

I respectfully disagree. The Iraq war was protested around the world before it even happened - an historical first. By comparison, the Vietnam wasn't protested until 8 years into the conflict. The problem we face now is the control of information; Americans aren't told the truth. If they were told the truth, people wouldn't tolerate it. War coverage was always small, and dishonest, but now it's shrunk to a minimum.

i think america's problems are bigger than one president and one administration..i like americans and what they stood for..but it looks to me that they sold their ideals for a cheap price and they just cant fight for it anymore..its such a shame...and its painful to watch..there wont be a comeback..the whole world not just americans have abdicated their ideals, shut their mouths, and stuck their heads in the sand...
