  • This entire "gathering" as the BLM likes to call it, has haunted me since I first heard about it. THIS herd only had 190 horses to begin with. So WHAT if some of them die in the winter?? That's nature. That's what being wild is all about! Some live, some die. But the BLM, acting strictly on behalf of the cattle ranchers, are taking OUR horses from OUR land and destroying any chance they have of living. It's sick and digusting and must be stopped before they are all gone.

  • poor foal, this uncessary cruelty has to stop and the US government should be the one banning them

  • @mactine2k7 theyare going to start the roundups again in July 2011...call your congressmen, senators and the president...this has got to stop!!

  • I think David Martin Anderson does a great job in his new book, 'The Last Good Horse,' describing horse round-ups in the 1930s at Pryor Mountain. Within the first 50 pages he delves into the culling out process, of separating the foals from the mares. Fascinating stuff. There's also an author interview on the subject on You Tube. Do a search under the author's name to find it. Great read!

  • did the foal get killed?

  • CONTACT OUR GOV'T, ASK NANCY PELOSI TO VOTE NOW ON H.R. 503, TAKE ACTION, EMAIL THEM, CALL THEM, LET THEM KNOW WE WON'T TOLERATE OUR MULTI-MILLONS OF TAX DOLLARS TO PAY FOR THIS, DON'T WAIT TIL THEY EXTERMINATE ALL THE HORSES WHICH IS A POSSIBILITY FROM WHAT I'VE READ DUE TO BP GAS PIPELINES, MORE CATTLE WHICH WE DON'T NEED, AND REUSABLE ENERGY LIKE WIND TURBINES

  • I could hear it. This is such a tragic system. They have not one drop of care in what they are doing. I did not know the BLM was doing so many round ups this year. And they are all horrible in the manner they do it. And our tax dollars cover this abuse!

I am so filled with disgust. Not one round-up is accomplished without injuries and grief and as it was mentioned earlier, no accountability.

  • Heartbreaking. These horses have been on my mind day and night. It has left me feeling lost. So many people are fighting for this herd and it seems to make no difference. What hope is there for the rest on the wild horses on U.S soil? The BLM is corrupt. The government and media ( with few exceptions) is no better. The coverage I've seen and read is pathetic and patronizing to those who care about the welfare of these horses. Thanks to all who care and fight. Don't ever give up.

  • Thanks for loading the audio. This senseless, unethical & illegal round up in the Pryor Mountains has consumed my thoughts since Thursday.

How are you all getting close enough to video tape & get audio? I thought the roundup was closed to public viewing (so there would be no accountability).

I would have given ALL to be with the Crow Indians, Ginger and the others on the prayer ride on Wednesday. My heart & soul weeps for the man oriented destruction of the Creator's beauty.
