these are brown turkey or white kadota figs in the dvd. It depends on variety as well as growing conditions and water. the 2 largest we have in kona are deanna and a Japanese variety called masui dolphin which looks the same as brown turley - -only larger!

i've never germinated the seeds form the dry greek figs. Love to eat them though..
i would try to get them started on a damp paper towel and after a week stick it all in a pot. I would also try some direct in a pot. Still, depending on where you are it might be a lot easier to get a cutting or tree from home depot. There is no way to know for sure if the ones from greece will work these days since the xray and security even for freight is much tougher than it used to be.

They are brown turkey figs which do very well in Hawaii
