A collection of short stories on the negative consequences of the Arab and Jewish communities reliance on absolutist myths to describe the conflict. Written by anonymous. Reading by Jonathan Monetta.
Confronting Ourselves, Yalla Journal's first-ever stand-alone reading night, was held at Free Times Cafe in downtown Toronto on December 10, 2009.
Yalla Journal is a Toronto-based youth initiative that strives to provide constructive spaces for young people who are passionate about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to express themselves. We assemble literary (poems, essays, narratives) and artistic (images, paintings) pieces created by Arab and Jewish youth (18-30) to facilitate dialogue between the communities.
