This example shows how to create multiple letters with different recipients from one LaTeX document using perl. It also demonstrates how to do the same thing with .doc files.
I used a similar thing to create 186 letters when my dad needed them a few weeks ago.
Note: do not watch it in 360p!
The script is available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?vxnj3ktmxln (i've edited it a little bit since the video, it automatically deletes all tex output files. You can use this as a template.
The LaTeX-file with pdf-background can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?gjvjjyte3jn
If you want to combine the created files into one pdf, take a look at this page: http://www.perl.com/pub/a/2007/09/20/pdf-processing-with-perl.html
The bottom part even describes how to create such letters with PDF::Reuse, so just a pdf inputfile and no LaTeX needed.
I hope the quality will be acceptable since i first produced an ogv with recordmydesktop, then converted it to avi using mencoder and finally (because pitivi didn't like me) edited it twice with windows (XD) movie maker producing the final wmv (forgot to save the project the first time).
Some boring (little) parts were cut because the file was too large.
quality sucks right now, hope it improves when processing is complete or ill have to create many annotations :S
