Wow!!! What a blast from the past. We used to roll tires in East St Louis back in early 60's. Of course we would put somebody in one of those big tractor tires and roll 'em out across 10th and State Street. (a major thoughfare) You was a chump if you got scared and jumped out!
Kids today don't know how to have fun. LOL

This takes me back to my early childhood, our house out in the country, and the OLD church in the woods. It's just something about the old-time church, and the feeling that you get there, that you are hard-pressed to find anywhere else.
Bill Ferris made this film in 1973. Bill's made a host of other films about Mississippi during the 1970s when he was a professor at Yale University. Go to Folkstreams dot com and look him up under "filmmakers". All his wonderful films are listed there and you can video stream them.
