    A lot of people ask who the announcer was that said "look at Mills, look at Mills". He was Dick Bank a high school track coach that loved running events and was asked to be a color commentator. Bud Palmer the actual caller of the race didn't realize Mills was coming from behind and Bank grabbed the microphone and made the famous call. The network fired Bank and it turned him off on something he really loved. He said he wasn't trying to show up Palmer,but he wasn't reacting to the situation.
