  • Hello David. I have tennis elbow and had switched from using poly to babolat xcel string on my wilson blx tour 90 and kfactor tour 90. It helps and the tb diminishes a lot. I really like the string. But the string itself is not going to solve the elbow issue. I am also going to try x-one biphase. Do you think they help on these kind of racquets in reducing elbow problem?

  • @diablomid From a TE perspective, string definitely helps. X-One BiPhase is not going to be that much different from a TE perspective than Babolat Xcel Power. Supposedly the best string for TE is natural gut. You may want to give it a try since the TE is not completely gone from using Xcel. If your TE still does not get any better with gut, you may want to consider seeing a doc and taking some time off. Take care.

  • THANKS!!! for the help

  • @Chris99video My pleasure.

  • If you already possess topspin-producing groundstrokes with fast racquet head speed, then Luxilon Alu Power Rough will definitely enhance your game. For Lux, I suggest reducing tension by 10% to start. You may have to tweak it from there on subsequent stringjobs. X-One is a fairly powerful string. I suggest going the other direction with it - may starting at 62 lbs. Are you talking about full beds of each string - or a hybrid? If hybrid, I suggest 56 for Lux and 60 for X-One - as you don't

  • @InspiredTennis want to large of a tension differential between your mains and crosses - in order to protect the integrity of the frame. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions. Take care. DH

  • Hey David,

Im trying to experiment with some new strings. I just used to use the cheap syn guts like the prince syn gut. Great string but I am curious if another string could make my game a little bit better. I have made up my mind with what strings im going to try first. I am looking at the Luxilon big banger rough and then the technifibre x-one biphase. I am just curious at what tension would be the optimum tension. I use 60 pounds on the prince syn gut.

  • They are probably fairly equal from a durability standpoint. X-One, is in my opinion, the better string. I've played with both - and I like X-One better. It seems to have a little more power and a little bit more crispness. Don't get me wrong, NRG2 is a great multi - I just think X-One has a little bit better playability. Another great multi to consider is Babolat Xcel Power. It is my favorite multi - just ahead of X-One in my opinion. Take care.

  • Hey David,

I am a very serious tennis player looking for gut-performance strings and I was looking at the Tecnifbre nrg2 and the biphase...Which one would you reccommend me? I am a hardhitter at the baseline. I want to know which one would be more durable. Thanks!

  • @InspiredTennis okay thanks for your help:)
