SRI LANKA NALANDA GEDIGE - "ABU SIMBEL" OF THE COUNTRY

Nalanda Gedige is located between Dambulla and Kandy in the central part of Sri Lanka and about one kilometer east of the main road A9.

The temple was pulled down on the old place and new rebuilt at this location near the town of Nalanda , when the Bowatenne Tank (artificial lake) was built.
