@Sheiff1 RewardMe does a GPS check to make sure that the user is actually in the restaurant. Also, there's some secret sauce hidden in the restaurant that can actually verify it.

4sq, Gowalla, and Facebook places actually can't overtake the RewardMe market because they appeal to a non-mainstream crowd that wants to share everywhere they go.

What if I'll take a photo of the QR code at restaurant and then I check-in outside of the restaurant by scanning a QR code from the photo?

Beside that, I suppose that you have no competitive advantage over the checkin giants like 4sq, Gowalla or Facebook places. They could simply mail the same QRcode package to millions of restaurants one day and simply add the same xzing reader yo their app.
