This isvideo of my GWS BN2 Islander taking off and landing. Most of the flight was unable to be captured because my camera does not have a zoom lens and the plane quickly becomes too small to see without one.

  • thats a great paintjob. let me guess you work for fedex?

looks great!!! what paint did you use ?

    thanks

  • Thanks. No I don't work for Fedex. For the paint I used some rc car acrylics.

  • thats got to be the best colour scheme i have seen on a Gws BN2,currently fly an e-starter by gws but looking at a BN2 just wondering what the D/F version is like with regards stock power compared to the stock prop version wonder if you can help make my choice, good video nice looking plane well done dude!!!!!!!!!.

  • Thanks! I don't know anything about the stock set up, prop or edf. This model was a slope glider kit that is retrofit powered by two brushless motors. You can see better pictures of this plane in my other BN2 video.

  • I think i'm gonna get this plane soon, and I read that the stock landing gear isn't very good. Is your stock? If not, what did you use to modify the langing gear? Specifically the front.

  • My plane is the slope glider kit. It did not come with any landing gear. It did come with the plastic pieces for the nose wheel steering. They ARE fragile, but should not break under normal use. They will break if you crash hard or accidentally bump it into something. Other than supplying the wire and the wheels I did not modify anything. It is a fun plane, but it does tend to tip stall if you don't co-ordinate some rudder while turning. In fact this plane turns better with the rudder by itself.
