Do wild hogs in the United States grow to monstrous sizes? Many think so. In Georgia an 1100 pound hog was shot and killed, and in Texas beasts almost as large have been reported. But are these creatures raised and fattened up in a pen, or are they wild hogs, naturally more aggressive, that have somehow reached gigantic proportions? A MonsterQuest examination meets victims of vicious wild boar attacks, looks at the existing evidence and teams up with hog hunters, researchers and trackers to find a giant.

  • Domesticated pigs grow hair when released in the wild.

Domesticated pigs are bred to be big. Pigs also escape easily cause theyre smart. It´s a domesticated pig that broke free and grew hair.

  • If i cought 1 mega hog i think it can feed me and my familly with more den 1 month of BACON! WOOTS!

  • Mega Hog = Mega Bacon! :)

  • Pigs are extremely adaptable animals. It takes only 2 or 3, some say even only 1 generation for the offspring of escaped domestic pigs to devolve into something more similar to wild boars. That, plus the fact that domestic pigs have been bred over many generations to grow into massive heaps of meat, to the point where giant growth is almost a stable part of their genom, makes the existance of giant wild pigs not only possible, but very likely.

  • i like hunting wild pigs and im from canada

  • Whether there are mega hogs or not wild pigs are becoming a huge problem across the united states. They tare up farms and bother hunters so this is a very real problem.

  • Some folks just wanna shoot something, anything.

  • I think this episode is unintentionally hilarious

  • hey they do exist. i saw one in western oklahoma, that was pretty close to the size of hogzilla maybe a bit larger maybe smaller but pretty close.i dont know what they eat to get this big. i now know what the boy ment about being afraid to shoot it.
