  • You can do that without dling any programs go to the keyboards on microsoft ime click properties and change romanji input to kana input

  • @Zhunishi Right, but that's not what we're trying to do. We want to make it to where you can press just one key to make the character appear.

  • Can I ask which OS you're using? I used Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator on my previous computer, which was running Windows Vista, and it worked without a problem. My new PC runs on Windows 7, and the Keyboard Layout Creator doesn't display the keyboard--just a blank window--so I cannot use it. I've looked online for solutions, and others have this same problem but no answers yet.

  • @steve4nlanguage I use windows 7 ultimate. It's odd that it is not working for you.

  • This is exactly what I was looking for but I can not get Microsoft keyboard layout creator to work. It says I need .NET framework, I have it all ready but won't work. Would it be possible if I send you the keyboard layout source (.klc) file, and you could build it, then send me the installer?

  • can you also change backspace
