  • I call bullshit on this one.

The Buick has Racing Slicks (Not stock). And it sounds like a ceramic dual Turbo (not stock, the normal ones had normal Buick Turbos), it also sounds like they are running upwards of 25PSI of boost (Not stock, stock they were limited to 14-17PSI)

  • This is no bullshit

They both have drag radials thats fair. The buick has a stock turbo thats fair. Plus the viper has a V10 and the buick has a V6 so its fair.

  • that is pretty sad a buick regal killing that viper it just proves all the old school muscle cars are better than the new ones

  • Buick setting the standard for today new can/r

  • is it just me or does all gn driver love to pick on vipers ,mustang, and vettes ?

  • @axe9 Too funny!! Can you really hear the difference between 14 vs 25 PSI? GIVE ME A F'N BREAK!

  • thats a pretty bold statement...

maybe on stock weight, and running safe boost for a stock motor...

    maybe..

and youd be surprised what slicks can do...

I think with the mods you mentioned it shouldnt have a problem dipping into the 12 flats (unless you cant launch, die to stock converter stall?)...

  • I want one of these turbo buicks one day....

  • yes but 12.5 is the fastest you can get a 86 GN that is stock (slicks, fuel pump and chip

  • FYI-Yes the 1981 Turbo trans am had a 301 V8 with a single turbo, but It was a dog I think rated at 180hp.

  • The turbo trans ams didn't have 301 v8's, they had the same 3.8L with different heads. There were no twin turbo buicks or V8 TTA's. To this day, almost no one has any clue about these cars. And to the guy that says "they had Buick turbos"-I laugh at you sir.

  • lol that guy in the GN is really good off the tree
