I hope the caller was shamed at such a stupid question on public television. Mireille's father never had any money, but he did just fine. If she had never made a Franc, he would have still loved his children, and the children loved him for being their father, nothing else. She is wealthy because she works hard, in an industry where wealth is won and lost on a gamble. On putting yourself out there for all to vote on your talent every year.

Mireille est surtout une immense chanteuse, mondialement respectée. Elle n'est pas originaire d'un milieu bourgeois au nez froncé, à la mine boudeuse, et aux yeux de pigeon, avec des réparties pseudo-intellectuelles en permanence. Alors "il faut rendre à César ce qui est à César, et à Dieu ce qui est à Dieu" : les grandes chanteuses pour chanter et faire chavirer les coeurs, et les bourgeoises psychorigides sans charisme et sans chaleur pour faire les grincheuses mortifères !

She is such a wonderful person - I am so glad God gave her such a beautiful voice! I just hope people don't use her - because everyone in the family should do their part. If her family is anything like my family of origin, there are always a few who use others . . . . and that gets to be old. Although I'm sure she is wealthy, being the head of 14 kids and their families would be a huge - maybe even impossible job. I hope there is a healthy limit and balance in her family of origin.
