Let's get some perspective here,The Cocteau's were/are brilliant(personally I prefer the early stuff,before you could understand what Liz was singing),while it's true to say that commercial success eluded them,it's not true to say that they were ignored all together.They were lauded by the majority of the "quality" press,NME adored them as did John Peel,they were just too left field for the mainstream,and that's fine by me.

@TheKeisor74 Today's music industry doesn't get it(intentionally),the ones who sing it ,compose it, produce it, attempt to manipulate the masses to make money at their expense and sticking it to the mainstream.The Cocteau Twins never did this and they stayed true to their vision despite the mainstream media and their lack of integrity in supporting those so-called commercial bands you hear in today's radio which are total rubbish.
