They're dancing Cha Cha On1 (i.e breaking on the 1 and 5), but the music is On2. They should be dancing on the 2 (i.e breaking on the 2 and 6) listen to the heavy drum snap on the 2 and 6. Cha Cha should never be danced on the 1.

All you have to do is go to any club dancing salsa/mambo and you will see the cha cha cha on any given day. It is a afro-latino thing. Oh, I forgot, you can't have latin without the afro, LOL! In short, it is all a black thing, from Cuba to Puerto Rico, the slaves developed this dance and it became popular in a big way, especially in NY around the 50's.

This is alot like our Detroit-Style ballroom.
Alot of the same transitions and the exact same steps. Just a slightly different flavor for the beginners.
