Its just for photos. Get the Dolphin broswer app. It lets you pinch and zoom internet pages. And its FREE!!!!

@tenisguy10 the iphone is susposed to get flash. Nothing can beat that phone I'm have a pre plus and adobe said it will get flash too your comment is moot

actually the included "gallery" DOES support pinch to zoom. It could be the upgrade to 2.1 but it does.

The suspected reason, I'm not sure if it had proof or not, but I saw (I believe on engadget, phandroid, one site closely following Android phones/the Droid specifically) an article saying that the reason it didn't support it out-of-the-box was something to do with patenting. I believe it said that one of Apple's patents was the whole pinch-and-zoom idea. Don't quote me on this though, I'm not 100% sure.

Do you know how Palm go around this. I mean at this point the phone can do it I wonder if they are waiting for some sort of agreement between the two companies or to see if they can enable it without being sued

Motorola were probably concerned about a lawsuit from Apple.
