They would have to take the pants off anyway when the put of their Striker Units and, in a fast pace combat situation, the etra minute it would take them to take the pants off could mean life or death. And a great number of civilans have adopted the practice in their everyday life because the Strike Witches are famous and everyone always copies the famous people.
