Did you know that there are some Frontlne and Advantage imitaters? You should check with your vet to see if their product is 100% certified

I think we've got Kiki (my cat) on something similar to Advantage; that's the stuff you put between the shoulder blades once a month, right? She actually seems to be getting better now. I still find them, but they're not as bad as they have been. I don't have any dogs, so I don't need to worry about Comfortis, but I'l pass that bit of info to my aunt - she has a goldie-greyhound mix with the same problem. Thanks for the help - I hope that Happy Kitten and your other pets all recover soon.

Aw, what a sweet little baby. He doesn't still have fleas, does he? They're so awful. I just gave my little girl a combing and she's got quite a few still :(

Cripes, don't even say the word "fleas" to me, here in Florida! Happy Kitten, and all my other pets, are on "Advantage" flea control, and they ALL (3 cats, 2 dogs) STILL have fleas, darnit! Our local vet says Advantage is "the best" flea control on the market, yet all our pets still have fleas. I've been told by a local dog breeder (whom I work with) that "Comfortis" works great for dogs, but they don't (yet) have a cat flea remedy, and you have to take your dogs to the vet for Comfortis.

Try Capstar pills in addition to the Advantage. It kills all the fleas on the dog/cat within 30 mins and works for 24 hrs. (Only give 1 pill a day). You can do a few doses to get the fleas under control and give the Advantage time to work. I've had good luck with Revolution spot on treatment. Avoid Frontline though! It doesn't work anymore.

I SO agree on the Frontline! We have a lot less fleas here in winter; I've heard fleas like the humidity.
I've never tried Capstar. I could probably pill all of my dogs without too much trouble, but the cats? Have you tried pilling a cat?
Gads, Boris Kitten acts like I'm trying to cut his little head off when I do his monthly Advantage! Eventually I just made the vet do it for me: Boris is so afraid of the vet's office, he's very very good for his Advantage when he's there.
