Landscape with Barn and Dimensional Portal

I always wanted to paint a barn, but I couldn't do just a plain landscape. This video shows the steps involved in creating this acrylic on canvas painting and some of the inspirations and thoughts that went into it's creation. After 38 views I re-uploaded the video after revising the photo of the finished art.

... it was really really pretty till u put the portal in... i mean i understand why u did and it's not that it's a bad portal, but it kind of messed it up for me... that and the sand.

Really people? Criticizing choice of objects?  He had an idea for an image, and then he made it happen. If you had a problem or suggestion about HOW he did it, that would be one thing. But telling a guy what he should paint? Paint your own sht, how about that? Anyway, for my own suggestion, I'd say you could try distorting the landscape that is directly behind the portal, or distorting the image around the outside edge to show a special interaction with light.

i agree, with the portal thing.  i think it ruined the painting. i thought it was kind of stupid putting the portal in the painting i guess just to see if it can be done or not..

get a grip people. let him do what he wants out of his heart and mind. if its a portal or a gateway that goes into the 3rd dimension for that matter, let it be. ugly or not its not up to us to judge. what we could do is to appreciate.

ps: i dont really get the portal and sand either, but it looks awesome.:)) thnx for posting! ooh, love the antique jar too.
