  • We used to "wrestle" to get the hairbrush "mic" at my cousins' house, during the 4th of July family barbeque...the winner got to be the lead! lol

  • @MsSunnysmith lol my and my cousins still do that, fun times

  • Please put all the commentary in the notes and just play the tune!

  • Just shut the fuck up! if you dont like it dont watch it!

  • MotownMaster...thank you...I've wanted to hear this song for the longest. I agree, the chord changes are brilliant and she handled it !! Smokey Robinson wrote & produced most of their material.

  • Yeah but this one is Mickey Stevenson and Ivy Hunter

  • @MotownMaster Thanks Master. Always a rotten one in the bunch. No appreciation for the journey of others. Thanks Master for the history notes and thank you for all you've done and will continue to do. I appreciate you for you.

  • I just had my !st 1 woman art show Mar. 1,'11 and I sang this song! I was so nervous that I sang part of this song and ended with Michael Jackson's Who's Loving You! lol But I had a great time and people enjoyed the show, especially the ambient music provided by an Iphone app,Thumbjam! Thanx for the posting; I never get tired of this song!

  • "I used to LOVE this song....yes, Wanda sang lead on this one. It has a kinda' Martha & Vandellas flava."

Yes -- this has very much the feel of "Nowhere To Run," which also came out in 1965 (was it before or after this?). One of Motown's many unrecognized gems.

  • this is one of their songs that you could dance the jerk to and have a ball

  • @MotownMaster Is there a karaoke version of this song available? I 'm planning to do this as a "girl group"( me & a drawing of 2 back up singers) in my first 1- woman art show in March 2011. If not,I guess I'll have to sing louder than Wanda! ;-D

  • @MotownMaster LOL! Layin down the law!

  • @derwent My mother used to yell, "Turn down that bumpety bump music !!"

  • This has always been one of my favorites. Great for hand-dancing if you are in shape. The Marveletters were real popular in D.C. Too bad it was not nation-wide.
