@Charizmm Thank you!

@spiritcore1 I did some low key experiments, and 2 pcs. of " ERA FA37M " LED lights used to be enough to provide decent sharpness. But I've never shot in low light without any special lightning.

@Charizmm have you ever shot in low light with this lens?

@spiritcore1 I use Tokina 535 on my D90. To me, it seems to be the best 2.8 zoom ever. It's sharp wide open, and it's really all-purpose due to focus range (some kind of macro, portraits, sports, some wildlife, landscapes). I feel so lucky to have got mine before it vanished from the shops in my country.
P.S. AF speed is exactly the same as in this video. It's not too fast for moving objects, but I've acquired a trick to handle this issue.

Thanks for all your helpful responses! ESPECIALLY about the barrel not extending. Just like Rorschach24 I've been searching all over the internet and only found that out because of your response. Will definitely get this lens. Thanks again!

Interesting...my nikkor lenses (mostly primes lenses) the focusing is just a tad bit faster if not the same as this particular lens. I may have to look into this lens as well as the sigma 70-200 for my first tele lens I want to buy.
how's the af preformance in low light?

@spiritcore1 Without issues. Never failed to focus on my 7D. It hunted a bit on the Xti. I photographed various stage events indoors in artificial light, sometimes quite dim.

Would you be able to tell me if the barrel extends? I've looked everywhere but no one has a video of the 50-135mm actually in use. I'm leaning towards the Canon 70-200mm 4L because of build quality, IS and the non-extending barrel but I would trade it for an extra stop. Also, the Tokina is well built but almost half the cost of the 70-200mm in Japan (110,000yen vs 58,000yen). Cheers!

The barrel does not extend or rotate. Focusing and zooming is internal.
70-200 f4 IS is a different animal at about twice the cost. Faster focusing, weather sealing, IS and full frame coverage is what you're paying extra for. It's a very nice lens. You won't regret getting it, I'm sure.
