A fan asked Avery to sing a song for us at the '06 Grand Slam con. I was just learning to use my camera for vids, so I recorded this SIDEWAYS. Argh. Capt. Sisko still sounds great though!!

  • lol, awesome. I never heard him sing before, aside from the few little bits and pieces on DS9.

    Thanks for putting this up.

  • Glad you liked it! He's got such an amazing speaking voice that I knew hearing him sing would be awesome.

  • This beautiful man should make an album now! With the success of the Star Trek franchise film now, he would clean up.

  • ohh shit! that man has glasses on!!!

I can better stick to the episodes :P

  • He's so amazing.

  • Watching h im perform his piano and percussion prowess on "A Man Called Hawk", I'm almost not surprised by how great his singing voice, he also co-composed the theme of that series with Stanley Clarke and Lawrence "Butch" Morris.

My only great surprise is that I can't find any CD's on the market bearing the name of Avery Brooks, it would be in my collection in a heartbeat if that were made to be so.

I agree with "Queen Reyes", his speaking voice is amazing, how could singing be far away?

  • His voice is like his appearance....TOTALLY ANGELIC!!! Thank you, QueenReyes79!!!

  • Who cares how the video looks! Close your eyes, listen and melt!
