a boxed Gyro-Cycle, Made By Tri-ang(Lines Brothers)-England in the mid 1930s. This ingenious toy, features seated celluloid figure on heavy metal cycle with lithographed tin balloon wheels. The front wheel contains a Gyroscope and is billed as "Invention of a Famous Aeroplane Designer".
The toy is in excellent shape! Some wear to face paint and on inside of the front tire. Works on the same principal as a gyroscope, ie when a thin line is wound around the mechanism on the side of the front wheel and pulled sharply, the cyclist will pedal furiously forward until it runs out of momentium. This is similar in fashion to the Lemann Cycles.
The box shows signs of wear. Mostly to and around the edges. The Label is colorful and complete with the Tri-ang Trademark that brings out a kind of elegant look to this aged box and cyclist. This toy is quite rare, especially with it's box and innerds. Tri-ang at it's best!
