I'm sorry to have offended you with this video. My purpose was to simply tell the story of my redemption from hate to love, and to show how that same redemption is God's will for all of the people--especially Christians--who hate homosexuals. You are absolutely right in what you say about getting mad at the one person and not the whole group of people. The amazing thing about God's power ro redeem is that I now love even that one. Again, I'm sorry to have offended you and others as well.

OK you cant blame all homosexuals for what one person does. Do you hate all black people just because one killed a man? Do you hate all women because one cheats on her husband? No you just get mad at the one. Also this doesn't make sense, your saying your for homosexuality yet your voting for amendment one which is against all gays. I think anything that diminishes ones rights isn't love but a great deep-set hate.

Praise God for the grace He gave you to forgive those who hurt you. Please continue to love, as Christ our Savior loves. My heart cries out to our Methodist Church to love homosexuals. Please continue to invite the outcast, but in this course of action do not surrender scripture, and endorse this sin. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me Be one with me. Reject all sin. Call these and all sinners to repent. Wesley's Notes on 1 Cor 6:9 are clear.

I believe that turning anything God has said into a simple statement is doing him a disfavor. In any case, I think that just because it may be more apparent that someone is GLBT, it should not be held against them when, as others have said, other sinners are not so apparent but may be members. This is not practicing love.

The last I checked, Jesus will "come to judge the quick and the dead." This is not the job of the church. There are plenty who commit atrocious sins that noone else knows about. Are we supposed to do some big in depth investigation into someone's life to see what sins we can bar them from the church for? Should we interview their wives, neighbors, friends and children to make sure they aren't active sinners? This sounds like McCarthyism. The very idea is ridiculous.

My friend, I am a Christian. I am also a United Methodist., and am well acquainted with the mind numbing swill being preached from some of the UMC churches I visit. Homosexuality is sinful behavior, as is any sexual activity outside the bonds of marraige. God's word makes it pretty simple, don't you think?

Please check your statistics re: growth in the UMC... growth is occurring in the African and Korean UMCs, NOT the in the U. S. Both the African and Korean brands of Methodism are more conservative and that is why many in the US UMCs want separate Gen'l Conferences...the Africans are the only check and balance for the liberalism of the American church. Regarding your querry as to whether I've sinned- YES. I also admit my sin and try to correct it. The same should be expected of sexual sin.

They aren't obsessed. They don't refuse. Where do you get your information? Pathetic? The only judging I see here is you judging the entire UMC clergy and you have no information to go on but 1 youtube video. Judgmental and crude.... I have to ask. Are you a christian? I doubt it. You would no better than to be so judgmental.

The reality is I was wrong in my last comment. Many churches don't exclude them from membership. Some do. I think it's ridiculous that the local pastor would not have the right to accept/reject anyone as a member of the church. I think membership should be tightened up across the church. The philanderers and alcoholics should not be ordained elders of the umc or even members. They are welcome to attend, just like anyone. Whose going to change? The church or us, the sinners? It should be us.
WWJD? Inclusion. What right do we, not God, have to keep them out of the church.
On another issue - great sympathy for any molestation, but please realize that homosexuality is not the same as pedaphilia - most molestors of children define themselves as 'straight'

You are certainly right. I have received other feedback about the way I used the word, molestation. I see now that I was insensitive and I appologize for any offense. Thanks for your comment, as it clarifies this point for others watching the video.
