The new McHale wrapper for this year's silage season. We transferred the boom over to the old 991BER so that it can be used as a back up trailed wrapper. The new one is powered by a Powerwrap powerpack so that the wrapper can be used as a standalone unit.

  • how is dat any advantage 2 da one ya pull behind dan tractor sure if ur a contractin ur stil gona have 2 pull it from farm 2 farm and den employ a my 2 pull it round den da fella your wrappin for will have 2 a loader 2 put da bales in da warper!!!

  • The teleporter has a hitch on it so its towed behind that. Farmer doesn't have anything to do with the actual wrapping end of things. Wrapper has its own engine so no need for a tractor to drive it. Teleporter loads bales on and stacks wrapped bales

  • we this be a beter system in terms of money?? cos ya stil need a man 2 drive da teleporter!! der seems 2 be fuk all advantages over da tractor and wrapper correct me if im wrong!!

  • Of course there's an advantage. With this system one man can wrap and stack the bales in one go. With a trail wrap system you need someone on the wrapper and someone else with a loader to stack, so 2 men and 2 tractors, or tractor and teleporter. Or else the man on the wrapper would have to come back after to stack the bales which makes the job lst twice as long. So the labour cost is halved straight away

  • The powerpack costs ~€5k, which is an awful lot less than the cost of a tractor and loader, or teleporter, not to mention the wage bill for a silage season.

  • i see were ur cumin from but were im from da contractor wraps da bales and da farmer stacks da bales if he doesnt have a loader he just puts da bales in a corner

  • Ah well there you go, a higher level of service this end of the country!!! :D

  • @vincenzolorenzo is that a diesel engine on that wrapper?-nice machine

  • yes we had alot of the problems this year with the new one.Due to alot of electrical faults and that. The table is slightly bent on ours for some reason. And had problems becouse of the belts been to slack and bales ripping themselves. But we sorted that out. When it works its good when it plays up no good. But we will have to see how it goes this year It will probaly have some mods done in the workshop to sort a few of these problems out.
