  • i concur. i was surprised at the position u take on this story. I thought you would surely side with the mother.Personally, I think that the kid should be encouraged to pursue and further advanced HIS OWN self-interests, rather than spend a significant time learning from a curriculum that was imposed on him and he has no interest in

  • Listen. Whatever it takes to get your kid on the right track. I say more kids need that now a days. So many people don't value their education and end up wasting their life in ignorance.

  • @the7thwreck sigh...so its A RACE THING.....again! God forbid you get to teach kids.

  • My child abuse was more of a punch in the head....not shaming into getting an education.

Then again, anyone can have a voice here.

  • @Pentazoid111 lol like what? Becoming a rap star?

  • @dragateli Hey dude, as I explained in the video, not every person learns the same. I know a lot of people who excel at what they do and I wouldn't dream of competing for their jobs because I have no passion for it. If your heart isn't in it, you will never be motivated to get to the end goal. This kid is surrounded by high school dropouts for parents. Imagine how he must feel. There's nobody to tell him he has potential. And do you really think what she is doing is effective?

  • @TheDreamReborn Change doesn't happen instantly dude. So she's allowed to force him do one thing, and not another? I bet you she offered him to pick up a book instead. You. don't. have. all. the. facts. SO STOP ASSUMING. The "current school system" is plenty to get "kids" on their feet and get ready for the real world. If he has the intelligence like you says, the fundamentals in school will get him to where he wants to be. He might hate it now, but he will not regret going to school.

  • my school is babying me through so they dont want to give me an OSSD=Ontario Standard Something Diploma and i m white just to put that out there ok i m a Canadian too

  • @JtheLioness I never generalized all African-Americans. Is said "If more parents were as passionate about their kids education as these parents are African Americans would be better off as a whole" More passionate parents, equals more passionate kids. That's not a generalization, that's a fact. that would apply to any race, or nationality. This video just happens to be about African American parents. And I didn't say Jamaicans were better than A.A. I said their ways of discipline work better.

  • @JtheLioness I think you should read my comment a little more carefully. I said "If more parents were as passionate about their kids education as these parents are African Americans would be better off as a whole". That's not a generalization, that's a fact! More passionate parents equals more educated kids. And I didn't say Jamaicans are better than African Americans. I said the school system in Jamaica is better than the school system in the US. ONE LOVE!

  • @macktysontv Please don't generalize all African-Americans. If we ALL realize we as a people are not better than one another we all would be better off as a WHOLE. One Love.
