by any chance is this a Cummins 280
-
Yes, they did - the 9300s (9301-9350). There were five others after that (9351-9355) which they had for experimental purposes. I'm not sure what came of those since then.

Didnt VTA order their last batch of Flexibles with M-11s?

@C40LF5419 Do you know where any of them went?

Didn't Santa Barbara buy some of these Flxibles from SCVTA to replace a few 1984 Gillig Phantoms?

Yep. These Flxs will actually be replaced soon with Gillig hybrids. As for the 1984 Phantoms, some of them went to Bill's Bus, a private service between Isla Vista and the bars in downtown SB. Others went to Tijuana. I have a recording of one of them still in service for MTD in 2007 on my channel.

Wasn't this bus formely powered with either the Cummins L-10 engine or the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine before it was repowered to the Cummins ISM engine? Just asking.
