The song 'You're the Top' from Reigate Grammar School's production of the Cole Porter classic, Anything Goes. Featuring Simon Cox as Billy Crocker and Sofia Greenacre as Reno Sweeney.
@crazydivaxox our school is k through 8 too but we didnt cut it though even though 5th/4th graders watch it and others at night we did cut sex though and sex appeal so yeah
@Kriki232 YOU ARE SO LUCKY. i wanted to do this for our 8th grade show but we didn't...
That's cool that you didn't cut it though. Our school is K-8 so the administration is really strict about stuff like that, we can't even say "hell" in the show we are doing.
@crazydivaxox This is very similar to the 1987 version, with some minor lyric changes. That being said, I'm performing the 1987 version with my high school, so I know the lyrics well enough to tell you they're different. However, in the 1962 version, Billy starts the song and not Reno... Maybe this school had to change some lyrics due to some reason. (We had to change some of the words in "I Get a Kick out of You" ) Overall though, I would say this is from the 1987 version. :D
